Biography:
Vanellope von Schweetz is a fictional character first appearing in the 2012 Disney animated film, Wreck-It Ralph. She is a glitch in the arcade game Sugar Rush, a kart racing game set in a candy-themed world.
Originally believed to be a programming error, Vanellope is revealed to be the rightful princess of Sugar Rush, usurped by the villainous King Candy (Turbo). Her glitching is actually a power that prevents her from being permanently deleted from the game's code.
Throughout Wreck-It Ralph, Vanellope teams up with Ralph to reclaim her place as princess and restore order to Sugar Rush. She later embraces her glitch and rules the game fairly.
Vanellope reappears in Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018), where she experiences an existential crisis related to her glitch and the predictability of Sugar Rush. She eventually finds her true calling in a more challenging racing game called Slaughter Race, choosing to stay there and maintain her friendship with Ralph through visits.
